repent.wtf ("we", "us") is a bio-link platform that lets you create a profile page, host media, and share links. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account data — your username, email address, and a hashed password. We never store passwords in plain text.
- Profile content — anything you choose to put on your page: display name, bio, links, images, audio, video, and appearance settings. This content is public by design.
- Uploads — files you upload to your profile or the file host, along with basic metadata (file name, type, size).
- IP addresses — recorded at signup, login, and upload for security, anti-abuse, and moderation. IP data is restricted to the site owner and is not shown to moderators or other users.
- Usage data — profile view counts and link click counts, stored in aggregate to power your analytics.
- Discord account — if you connect Discord, we store your Discord user ID to link your profile and enable bot features. We never see your Discord password.
What we use it for
- Operating your profile and dashboard.
- Showing you view and click statistics.
- Sending transactional email (password resets, milestones, giveaway wins). We do not sell your email address or send third-party marketing.
- Preventing abuse: spam, ban evasion, and illegal content.
Payments
Premium purchases are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We store only the order reference needed to activate your premium features.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Who can see your data
Your profile page is public. Your email, IP addresses, and account settings are private. Site staff can access account information where necessary for moderation; volunteer moderators see only your public profile and account status — never your IP addresses or contact details.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete uploads at any time from your dashboard. To delete your account and associated data entirely, contact us and we will remove it within 30 days.
